Authorised Officer (ASO5)

The Authorised Officer (Assessment, Rating and Compliance) is accountable to the Senior Authorised Officer (ECS Group Leader) for the provision of assessment services, rating advice and compliance monitoring to ensure the wellbeing and development of children and promote continuous improvement in service quality.

The Authorised Officer (Assessment, Rating and Compliance) will be responsible for:

  • consistently applying relevant state and nationally applied early childhood education and care (ECEC) legislation in the approval, monitoring and quality assessment of early childhood education and care and school age care services
  • developing and maintaining professional relationships with providers of early childhood education and care and school age care services, other sector stakeholders and government agencies.

Special conditions

  • Term vacancy: 12 months from date of commencement

  • Intra or interstate travel may be required.
  • Annual performance agreement for the achievement of specific service or program outcomes
  • Some out-of-hours work may be required.

Requirements

  • An early childhood teaching qualification, an early childhood education and care qualification or other relevant qualification
  • A current South Australian driver’s licence
  • The successful applicant will be required to satisfactorily complete a DHS working with children check prior to being employed and regularly as required.

Remuneration

  • ASO5: $80 830 - $89 897 per annum

Senior Authorised Officer, Group Leader (AS06)

Senior Authorised Officer, Group Leader is responsible for the provision of leadership and management of a group of authorised officers in relation to regulating and supporting the early childhood sector, particularly in relation to the oversight of achievement against key performance indicators and targets. This position is also responsible for providing information and recommendations about the regulation of services, emerging issues, trends, opportunities for improvement and compliance issues relating to the state and national early childhood regulation legislation.

Special conditions/requirements

  • Ongoing, full-time (75 hrs per fortnight, 1.0 FTE)
  • An early childhood teaching qualification, an early childhood education and care qualification or other relevant qualification
  • A current South Australian driver’s licence
  • The successful applicant will be required to satisfactorily complete a DHS working with children check prior to being employed and regularly as required.

  • ASO6: $92 784 - $98 143 per annum

Business Support Officer (ASO3)
