During several visits to education and care services, evidence shown to authorised officers has not been adequate to demonstrate that educators are meeting the requirements of of the Education and Care Services National Regulations 2011.
Approved providers must maintain up-to-date evidence for educators who are working towards an approved early childhood qualification.
Regulation 10 defines the meaning of actively working towards a qualification. It means an educator is enrolled in the course and can provide documents to show satisfactory progress. They must also be able to show they are meeting the requirements for maintaining enrolment.
Approved providers should sight and maintain evidence. This includes current transcripts that demonstrate satisfactory progress and documents that confirm enrolment.
