Complaint about a school

Complaint about schools: in the first instance, complaints about schools are referred back to the school to be dealt with according to the procedures established by the school for handling complaints. (s30 Education and Early Childhood Services Act).

This policy outlines how complaints made to the Education Standards Board (ESB) about the provision of education services by a registered school are assessed and managed in accordance with the Education and Early Childhood Services (Registration and Standards) Act 2011 (State Act) and the Standards for Registration and Review of Registration of Schools in South Australia (Standards).

Complaint or feedback about the Education Standards Board

We welcome both positive and negative feedback. 

Feedback and complaints about processes, communication, service or action by the Education Standards Board can be submitted via our form for Complaints and Feedback about the Education Standards Board

If you are dissatisfied with the outcome of your complaint, you may request an internal review be conducted by the Chief Executive through completion of a new Complaints and Feedback form or via email to esb.feedback@sa.gov.au
