Ensure age-appropriate supervision at OSHC

Out of school hours care services providing vacation care must comply with age-specific educator-to-child ratios.
Remember, required ratios are the minimum requirements. Many other factors should be considered for adequate staffing.
The Education and Care Services National Regulations 2011 define preschool age.
A child over preschool age is one who:
(a) is enrolled or registered at a school; and
(b) attends, or in the current calendar year will attend, school in the year before grade 1 or in grade 1 or a higher grade.
