New laws banning vaping and smoking in early childhood services and schools

New laws will create smoke-free and vape-free outdoor areas in public areas within early childhood services premises, education and children’s services facilities and schools, as well as within 10 metres of their boundaries.

Introduced under the Tobacco and E-Cigarette Products Act 1997, the new laws will come into operation on 1 March 2024.
