October update from the Chief Executive

This month saw our third Regulatory Roundtable meeting of peak bodies and large providers. Our manager of Compliance and Investigation shared that serious incidents are decreasing, but those that are being reported to the ESB tend to be similar in theme.

To continue our support of the sector, our October Bulletin outlines the trends that we are seeing and provides a reminder on how to report incident, injury, trauma and/or illness. We also share the circumstances in which we might request more information and how that is communicated by our Compliance and Investigation or Quality Assessment team.

If you are intending to apply for service approval and/or amendment before the end of the year, please be aware that these processes are tied to legislative time frames and may not be completed before the new year.  Considerations and deadlines are outlined in this month’s bulletin.
