Providing support for international students

02 July 2019

Non-government school CRICOS providers must let students under 18 know who to contact in an emergency or if seeking help for sexual, physical or other abuse. This should be appropriate for their age and culture.

Include details of what the service, person or organisation is. For example: “Beyond Blue provides information and support for people with depression and anxiety. Beyond Blue also offers free translation support from the Translating and Interpreting Service.”

For more information, see Standard 5 of the National code of Practice for Providers of Education and Training to Overseas Students 2018.
